Amrapali Dutta Ranjan was born in Kolkata and raised there. She graduated from St Xavier’s College with a degree in English. She then earned her MBA from the Kalinga School of Management at KIIT University. She observed her coworkers and colleagues going through the monotonous 9-5 routines all day, every day, while lugging their lunchboxes. 

While she respected their persistence, she understood that she would require more than a desk job to feel fulfilled and satisfied. All the while, she harbored a secret desire to enter the world of fashion. She was astounded by makeup’s strength and capacity to reflect people.
